The BC Liberal Party has started posting its political donations online as they come in, including thousands of donors from last year and the lengthy batch to start 2017.

Premier Christy Clark's promised "real time" donation reporting will be within 10 business days of donations to the party, up to the May 9 provincial election.

The NDP opposition has pressed for B.C. to follow suit with Ottawa and limit tax deductible political donations to individuals. The BC Liberals have long enjoyed a big lead in financing, thanks in part to wealthy individuals and corporations donating.

BC Liberal Party president Sharon White stressed the number of individual donations, with 9,324 donations, compared to money from 1,876 corporate donors.

Like Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Clark has been criticized for holding private receptions with major donors.
