Casino Gun Range remains closed

Threat of wildfire prompted complete closure of the Casino property

The Casino Gun Range will remain closed for at least one more week.

“What we really require is some rain,” says site director Bill Wenman. “I have checked the range out today and the full closure will remain in effect until Friday, Aug. 18.”

Tinder dry conditions coupled with an extreme fire danger rating forced the group to close the property last week as a precautionary and voluntary measure.

Wenman says he will check the range again next Thursday and provide an update.
