Man arrested in downtown Trail

An incident at the Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation office on Cedar Ave. last week has netted a man 45 days in jail.

According to an RCMP report, on Nov. 29, a 44-year-old man went into the downtown Trail office and “ended up uttering threats to several employees and the police.”

The man was subsequently arrested and appeared in court on Tuesday where he entered a guilty plea.

He was sentenced to 45 days in jail.

The police are not releasing any further details at this time.
