It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ada Angelina Bazzana (nee Scodellaro) who passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2017 in Kelowna. Ada was born August 29th, 1925 in San Martino al Tagliamento, Italy.
In 1950, she landed at Pier 21 in Nova Scotia and travelled by train to join her husband Angelo Bazzana (deceased) in Trail. Ada loved her family, picnics, bocce, dancing, reading and word search puzzles. She was a member of both the Sorelle Colombo and San Martino Club for many years.
She will be dearly missed by her two daughters Mary LeRose (Sharman) and Denise Bartlett (Yogi); and her grandchildren Dawn Dalton (Jeff), Michael LeRose (Marliese), Jessica Driscoll (Pete), Stephanie LeRose (Kevin), Christine LeRose (Nathan) and Sharman Jr; and her great-grandchildren Nolan and Easton Salvador, Brayden and Dawson Hogg, and Jack Driscoll as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nona was loved by her family who have many fond memories of intense card games, delicious cookies and homemade knitted slippers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10:30 am with Father Bart van Roijen, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
