The loving family of Andrew Grant, of Genelle, BC, sadly announce his passing.
Andy came to Canada in 1957 from Glasgow, Scotland after extensive travels with the Merchant Marines. He moved to Castlegar on construction and stayed on as Lead Millwright and Safety Committee Officer at Celgar until his retirement. Andy volunteered in Genelle as a soccer coach and at the local Fire Hall.
Andy will be missed by his two sisters and nieces and nephews, 4 children, 6 grandkids and 1 great-granddaughter.
Fiercely independent to the end, Andy and his dry wit will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Respecting Andy's wishes there will be no service. Brent Long of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
