It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Angelina Salvador on December 11, 2016 at Poplar Ridge Pavilion.
Angelina was born on January 2, 1928 in Valvasone, Italy. She married Annibale Salvador on February 26, 1949 and immigrated to Canada in 1951 with baby son Silvano. After a brief time in Saskatchewan, they moved to Trail and eventually settled in Genelle. Throughout her life, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening and cooking wonderful meals for her family. Her grandchildren were the focus of her life and she adored each and every one.
Angelina is survived by her son Gary (Kathy), daughter-in-law Shelley, her sister Maria Chivilo, her grandchildren; Nathan (Christine), Angelina (Marty), Ryanna (Jon), Christina (Jared), Roberta (Paul), her great-grandchildren; Nolan, Khloe, Olivia, Easton, Walker and Dylan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Angelina was predeceased by her husband Annibale, her son Silvano and two brothers Gigi and Carlo. She will be dearly missed by her family and all those that knew her as she had a very kind and giving heart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Bart van Roijen, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the kind and compassionate staff at Poplar Ridge for the special care given to mom during her lengthy stay.
