We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Antonietta Del Bosco on January 10, 2018. Having survived a serious brain injury early in 2010, she fought on, a testament to the bravery she modeled so fiercely in life.
Antonietta was born in San Quirino, in the province of Udine, Italy on August 10, 1922. She came to Trail with her husband Ruggero, and young family in 1956, where, until 2009, they enjoyed their gardens and their friendship in the hills of West Trail.
She was known for her sewing wizardry, her lasagnas, and the beacon of her all-encompassing laugh. She was the heart of her family, adored for her unconditional love and dauntless optimism. Even at her most debilitated, she retained the gesture of giving.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years in 2012.
She will be forever missed by her daughter Luciana (Sergio) and Maria (Andrew) grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A funeral and celebration of her remarkable life will be held Friday, January 19 at the Gardens of Gethsemane in South Surrey.
