It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother back to the arms of her loved ones; her husband of 51 years Angelo, her grandson Randy, her mother, her father, her brothers Gino, Guido and Nello and her son-in-law Bruce Godlien.
Bruna was born in Marlia (Luca) Tuscany, Italy and came to Trail with her family at a very young age. She was 97 years young and is survived by her son Larry (Marian), her daughter Angie, her grandchildren Arnie, Debe, Kelly and Kim, her nine great-grandchildren Evan, Liam, Lexe, Bradyn, Abby, Ally, Carter, Quin, Kayley, and Dakoda. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bruna had a passionate love of family and as a true matriarch of the family and she will be sorely missed. Her sense of humour was boundless and we fondly remember laughing with her heartily, just weeks ago.
Bruna was celebrated as the oldest living member of the Italo Canadese Lodge and was integral in helping newly arrived families from Italy in the lodge’s early days.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Parish with Father Jim McHugh, Celebrant. Jordan Wren of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
