Bruno Gallina

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and nonno on August 14, 2010 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Bruno was born on August 18, 1933 in Biadene, Treviso Italy. He came to Trail in 1956 at the age of 23 and shortly gained employment with the City of Trail, where he worked for 36 years. Bruno was also a long-time member of the Cristoforo Colombo Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, wine making, playing bocce and spending endless time with his much cherished granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Silvia; son Jim of West Kelowna, daughter Liana (Michael) Bonacci and his precious granddaughters Christina, Angela and Jessica Bonacci all of Trail. Bruno is also survived by his sisters Clelia Binotto of Trail, Maria Faveta of Italy; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, seven brothers, grandson Christopher Bonacci, and brother-in-law Giovanni Binotto.

Father Gabriel will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Trail on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
