Eddy Grubisic

August 25, 1933 - September 10, 2017

The man, the myth, the legendary "Highway Hugger" passed away September 10th, 2017.

Eddy was born August 25, 1933 in Penticton, BC to Walter and Alice Grubisic.

Eddy grew up and went to school in Rossland, BC. At the age of 14 Eddy started driving truck all over British Columbia and the United States until he retired at the age of 82.

He was known as the "Oldest Truck Driver" in British Columbia. Eddy's true passion in life was hawling livestock, attending auctions, going to fairs, and spending time with family and friends.

He truly will be missed.

Eddy is survived by his wife Elva of Oliver, son James Grubisic, daughters Becky Rueb, Laura Calico, LaRee Click, 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Eddy is preceded in death by both parents, one brother, Joe Grubisic, and two sons, Thomas and William Grubisic.

Per Eddy's request, no funeral is planned, but we would love to see you all Saturday, October 7th, at the Oliver Community Centre from 1:00 until 4:00 for coffee and conversation and a chance to reminisce and b.s.
