Brandt: Eileen (nee Powell) passed away November 30, 2010 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital with family by her side. She was born in Dublin, Ireland on April 24, 1922, and came to Canada with her parents as a young girl.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband Al (Big Al), brothers Alex and Tom, and daughter-in-law Sharon. She is survived by her sons Larry and Don (Judy), daughters Darlene (Les) Brewer, Cheryl (Richard) Bell, and Shannon (Ken) Hill, as well as ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
At Eileen’s request there will be no service. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
Besides her family Eileen loved her animals so as an expression of sympathy, donations maybe made in Eileen’s memory to your local SPCA.
The family would like to give special thanks to the entire staff at Poplar Ridge for helping mom sing her way to bed each night. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, also to Dr. Jacobsen for giving mom her hugs.
