Eileen passed away peacefully at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on December 26, 2014.
Eileen was born to John and Marie Fox on December 8, 1935 in Rossland. She was the fifth born of ten children. Eileen grew up and met her late husband Jimmy Ferraro in Rossland. Mom was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. This was her dream job. She raised six children and helped raise all her grandchildren. Family was everything to her and she loved having her house full of children and grandchildren.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents John and Marie, her husband Jimmy, her brothers; Vernon and John Edward as well as her sister Dorothy. She is survived by her children; Kim (Gord) McMartin, Christine (Beni) Marrandino, Danny (Barb), James (Anna), David (Carla), Shane (Sheri), her grandchildren; Shawna (Scot), Allan (Renee), Theresa (Tyler), Carolyn (Jason), Jeffrey, Dean, Paul, Adam, Jennifer, Alexandra, Brad, Vanessa, Derick, Evalynn, Kenneth, Vincent, her great-grandchildren; Luke, Brandon, Austin and Peyton, her brothers; Bill, Doug (Huguette), Leonard, Raymond (Tammy), her sisters; Loretta, Helen (Fred) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eileen was a long-time member of the CWL and Hospital Ladies’ Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Bart van Roijen, Celebrant. Burial will take place at Mountain View Cemetery following Mass. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
