Waldie: Emma Viola “Vi” (nee Arkley) passed away October 22, 2010 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. She was born June 21, 1926 in North Battleford, SK where she grew up.

Vi did psychiatric nursing in Battleford and then trained as a lab tech. She came to Trail in 1964 to work at the Trail Regional Hospital and married David in 1965. Vi also worked at the Medical Association Clinic.

She loved curling, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was an excellent cook. Vi attended the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Eastern Star.

She will be missed by her loving husband Dave, niece Florence and her family, Ena and Glen Waldie, and her special friend Donna Salmond.

A funeral service will be held at the Presbyterian Church on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverends Meridyth and Gavin Robertson presiding. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
