A long-time resident of Trail, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on April 30, 2018 at Rosewood Village. May was born on May 26, 1922 in Cupar, Saskatchewan.
May was a life-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Brand #11 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, crocheting and most of all dancing.
She is survived by her son Cyril (Pam) Batch, 7 grandchildren; Bret (Samantha) Hutchings, Kent (Karen) Hutchings, Heather (Jason) Avis, Robyn (Mike) Fitzpatrick, Shane (Tracy) Batch, Shauna (Mike) Flux and Christina (Robert) Williams, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, her sister Valerie Lythgoe, her son-in-law Hugh Hutchings and her daughter-in-law Patty Batch.
May was predeceased by her loving husband Charlie, her daughter Valerie Hutchings, her son Gerry Batch and her long-time companion Bert Robson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Trail Royal Canadian Legion Branch #11 with Gwen Ziprick, Celebrant. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
