Sadly, we wish to announce the passing of Frances Pauline Gordon at Rosewood Village on February 10, 2015. She was born March 1, 1917 in Loveland Colorado.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank, her sister Margaret, her brothers Robert and Keith, granddaughter Carrie and great-granddaughter Hannah. She is survived by three daughters and one son with their children; Merle (Will) Wagner and their children Randy, Scott (Kerry) and Corina (Dale); Carol (Carmen) Purdy, and their children, Jamie (Debbie), Curt (Anne), and Jodi (Lee); Doreen (Dave) Heidt and their children Krista (Don), Kevin (Debbie); Len (Cherie) and their son Christopher. She was also blessed with 2 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Mom was the hub of the Gordon family. Little, but mighty, there wasn’t much she couldn’t do. In her senior years she walked to Fruitvale each day, danced twice a week and played bridge often. As a member of the United Church she kept busy baking for annual teas and working in the thrift shop. Her grandchildren stopped on the way home from school to play a game of cards and have a snack that was always waiting. Mom’s hamburger soup always appeared at the home of needy neighbours.

We cannot thank the staff at Rosewood enough for the kindness and love they showed mom during her eight-year stay. You are angels. A big thank you to Dr. Stanley for years of care mom received. She will be missed by her family and friends but loved forever.

A memorial service will be held in the spring for family and friends. You are invited to leave a

personal message of condolence at the family’s online register at www.myalternatives.ca
