Buckna: Genevieve (Jenny) Marie passed away September 28, 2010 at Talarico Place in Castlegar. She was born July 30, 1920 in Washington.

In her life, Jenny was active in the Catholic Women’s League and the Ladies’ Eagles Auxiliary. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Jenny was predeceased by her husband John Edward Buckna in 2004. She is survived by her daughter Lorena (Ivan) Oglow and their children David Davies (deceased), Don Davies and his son Dustin Davies, Dana Davies, and Darrin (Suzie) Davies and their children Skyla and Joey; son Don (Sharyl) Buckna and their children Kim (David) Mandoli and their children Jessi and Jeremy; her youngest son Brian (Kendra) Buckna and their children John Edward Jr., Brittany Buckna, and Danielle (Casey) Widener and their son Colt; grandson Terry (Melissa) Buckna and their sons Tyson and Brady; step-granddaughters Cheryl Boder, and Candis (Robert) Chamberlain and their family Rhys, Brydon (Alicia), and Cynthia (Lance) Brown and their family Brandon and Ciara. Jenny is also survived by her sister Maxine Hopkins and her daughters Andrea Bybee, Sharon (Jerry) Benzie and their children Tracy and Jerry Jr., and son Roger Hopkins; brother Roland Hanna and his sons Mark and Dennis Hanna; sister-in-law Virginia Hanna; and great-great granddaughter Zoey Chaves and step great-great granddaughter Jordanna.

Father Gabriel will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Bill Clark and Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” are entrusted with arrangements.
