George Menelaws

June 19, 1931 - October 12, 2018
Our family is sad to announce the passing of our Dad and Grampa George Menelaws.

George was born in Trail June 19th 1931 and passed away with his family by his side on October 12th 2018 at the age of 87.

George worked for Cominco/Teck for 43 years retiring in 1991 and he cherished the friendships he made over the years.

George had that special gift of making people smile. He always had that twinkle in his eye and went out of his way to say hello. He enjoyed learning to speak Italian and enjoyed conversing with his many Italian friends.

He loved gardening and his flowers were inspirational. He loved to walk with his favorite walk being up the "secret road" with his grandchildren and his grand-dogs. George loved music enjoying anything from The Ink Spots to Eric Clapton. If you could dance to it, George loved it.

George was predeceased by in wife Joan in 2010. We are comforted by the fact that they are together again.

George is survived by his son Gord (Dianne) and his grandchildren Tyler, Erin (Tyler), Joel, Megan and his daughter Mo Roy (Randy).

The family is grateful for the care provided by Dr. Paul and the staff at Rosewood Village and the loving care from Lori Verigin N.P. and Waneta Primary Care Clinic.

Please join the family to honor George at The Cornerstone Cafe in Warfield on November 9th at 2 pm.
