McLain: Gerry – It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gerry on September 24, 2010. He was born September 1, 1952 in McAlester, Oklahoma, USA.

Gerry came with his family to Canada when he was 15 years of age, moving to Vanderhoof, BC. Gerry moved to Trail in 1993. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed the outdoors, and most of all he loved being with his family.

Gerry is survived by his two sons Clint (Naomi) and Cory (Maddie), grandchildren Levi and Hailey, life partner Jen and her daughters Audry (Jason) and Amber (Jeremy), mother Evie Fowler, brothers Terry (Kathy), Brian, and Brad (Yvonne), sisters Debbie and Angie (Ray), as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces, and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his father Vincent, step-father Ed Fowler, and brothers Larry McLain and Brett Fowler.

A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held at the Warfield Community Hall on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
