Gladys Myrtle Forrest (nee Moore) - Born April 21, 1912 in Bassano, Alberta.

In the late 1920s and early 1930s, Gladys worked as a fashion model and book keeper for Montgomery Brothers Department Store and Fox Farm in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. She met and married Bill Forrest in Trail in 1939. She was an artist, doll maker, quilt maker, avid golfer, housewife and mother, residing in Trail from 1938 to 1971. She continued her artwork and golf into her senior years while residing in the lower mainland. Following the death of her husband in 1990, she returned from Tsawwassen to the Trail area in 1993. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Bradshaw of Langley, her son John of Trail, 5 granddaughters, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill), 4 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Cremation will be followed by interment in Mountain View Cemetery. A family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
