Mason: Gloria passed away suddenly on December 4, 2010 at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. She was born August 12, 1950 in Rocky Mountain House, AB.
Gloria moved to Fruitvale in 2004 from Kelowna, where she was employed with Interior Health. She took great pride in her work. Gloria enjoyed her family. Her pride and joy was her granddaughter, Jourdyne, with whom she had a special bond.
Gloria is survived by her two children Melanie Mason (Tim), and Vincent Mason, grandchildren Jourdyne, Emily, Stephanie, and Cassandra, her brother Glen (Karen), and sisters Marjorie, Marlene (Chris), Lila, Marilyn (Russ), and Sharon (Bob), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Glen and Catherine Benner, brother Stewart, her sisters Glenda and Janet, and nephew Michael Venturini.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Trail on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Meridyth Robertson officiating. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Gloria’s memory to the BC Canadian Cancer Society, 908 Rossland Avenue, Trail, BC V1R 3N6.
