With great sadness, the family of Guy Coulombe 62, announces his sudden passing on May 20, 2017 in his home town of Fruitvale.

Guy was born in Sudbury Ontario on June 27, 1954, son of Fernande and Pierre (deceased) Coulombe.

A Red Seal journeyman carpenter, Guy began his career in Ottawa, working also in Toronto before being hired by Cominco in Trail in 1978. A member of the Carpenters Union Local 2300 CMAW, Guy worked initially for Roger Ganzini developing a friendship and bond that carried through to finally working with HilTech Contracting. Guy's hobby was creating beautiful pieces of furniture. His artistic sense could imagine the finished product long before its completion. His pride and joy was completing the construction of his own home in Fruitvale and driving his Z-car. He was passionate about skiing the powder at Red Mountain.

He is survived by his life partner, Marja Taussi, son Jason, his mother Fernande, sisters Suzanne (John), Pauline (Dennis), Madeleine (André), brothers, Michel (Nicole), Pierre (Ornella), and Denis (Carmen) and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the attending paramedics and first responders for their valiant efforts and compassion.
