May 15, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ineke on May 15 at the Poplar Ridge Pavilion in Trail, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. We want to express our special thanks to all the staff at Poplar Ridge for the wonderful care they have given her during the last years of her life.

Ineke was born in the Netherlands on April 29, 1936. She married Roelof Bult in June 1959, and they emigrated to Canada the next month. They came to Trail from Vancouver a few months later, and moved to Fruitvale the following year, where they stayed for the next 51 years and raised their family.

Ineke was predeceased by her son Ian, who died in an avalanche while mountain climbing in Alaska. She is survived by her husband Roelof, two sons Timothy and Michael, and grandchildren Jason, Ranon, Zachary, Olivia, April, and Jaxon, as well as three great-grandchildren, Hudson, Charlotte, and Bennett.

Ineke very much enjoyed her "stay at home Mom" lifestyle in a rural setting for a long time, but also loved going back to Selkirk College in 1978 when circumstances demanded a change. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Victoria in 1983 and was happily employed in a variety of jobs until her retirement in 1995.

A Celebration of Ineke's Life will be held on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at 11:00 am at Carberry's Chapel; 1298 Pine Ave, Trail. Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
