John had a great passion for the outdoors and spent many days fishing Lake Erie and the shores of the Columbia River. John was predeceased by his wife Kay, son Lawrence and granddaughter Anjelica. He is survived by his three daughters – Cheryl Orrell (John), Wendy Major (Gary) and Amy Gurnett (Chris); granddaughter Ivy, grandson Carter, granddaughter Cassandra, granddaughter Abra and grandson Colin.

The family would like extend a special thank you to Gail and Jim Ihas for all of their help in the care of our father over the past few years.

Internment will take place at the Morgan’s Point Cemetery in Wainfleet, Ontario at a later date. John and his wife Kay will be laid to rest at this time.

Should you wish, a donation in John’s memory may be to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Foundation at 1200 Hospital Bench, Trail, BC, V1R 4M1 or online at www.kbrhhealthfoundation.ca.
