Joyce Zimmerman passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on April 27, 2017. She was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan on March 18, 1933.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Anthony Zimmerman, children; Brian, Kerry, Kathie, and Michael, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister Dorothy Thiesen, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Joyce was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Alexandra Butts of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Joyce’s honour to the Canadian Cancer Society, 15-835 Spokane St.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Cameron, and all the nurses at the Kiro Wellness Centre, for their compassionate care of Joyce over the years.
