Leonard Cameron Bruce passed away peacefully in his home on February 27, 2017. He worked at Cominco and earned his 40 year service award in 2015, and shortly after retired. Len enjoyed his home in Oasis overlooking the Columbia River. He loved making improvements in his yard. He spent many hours building his rock walls. Len also enjoyed 4-wheeling, and having a beer with his buddies.
Len is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Marjorie, and stepdaughter Robyn (Gary) and
stepson Greg, brothers Robert Bruce, Tom (Deborah) Bruce, Albert Bruce and sister Rita
Forrest. Sister-in-laws Brenda (Richard) Pyefinch, Linda (Bill) Thompson, Heather Desabrais and brother-in-law Art (Gwen) Mercer and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving grandfather to Madison and Jaxon. Len was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Bruce, by his nephew Jeffrey Bruce, his sister-in-law Donna Bruce and his brother-in-law Dale Desabrais.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Alexandra Butts of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with the arrangements. For those who wish a donation may be made in Len’s memory to the BC Lung Association, www.bc.lung.ca/donate or a charity of their choice.
