Manuel: Lily of Salmo passed away suddenly on October 2, 2010 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. She was born December 13, 1931 in Nelson, BC.

Lil worked for West Kootenay Power and also the Ymir Post Office and Hotel. She enjoyed going for rides with Harry, doing crafts, crocheting, gardening and collecting lawn ornaments. Lil also enjoyed spending time with her family and having visitors over.

She is survived by her husband Harry of 43 years, children Don (Kathy), Joanne (Al) Dixon, Neil, Susie Mueller, and Gail (James) Kurulok; son-in-law Dave Banner, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, brothers Elmer and Allan (Maddie) Nord; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lil was predeceased by her daughter Sheri Banner, her parents, sisters Sigrid, Mary, Ann and Darlene, and sister-in-law Evelyn Nord.

A celebration of Lil’s life will be held at the Salmo Curling Club on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
