With great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife and grandmother. She died peacefully with family by her side on February 2, 2017. Maria is survived by her husband of 69 years, Conrado Flores, their nine children, twenty-one grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Maria was born on August 19, 1930 in Manila, Philippines and started her family there before migrating to Canada in 1979. She was proud to call Trail home until her last days.
Maria was an active church member. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and most of all sewing. Family was her greatest joy. She had a big heart, was generous and kind. Maria will be dearly missed.
A private ceremony has been held, a Celebration of Maria’s life will be held at the Knox Hall, 1300 Pine Avenue in Trail on Saturday, August 19th, 2017. The time will be added to the online obituary. Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
