Marion Thompson, a long-time resident of Rossland, passed away in Trail, BC on October 25, 2016. She was born on August 4, 1927 in East Earltown, Nova Scotia.

Marion worked in housekeeping at Mater Misericordiae until her retirement. She was an avid gardener, and loved reading, music, and time spent fishing and camping at Sheep Creek. Above all Marion enjoyed being with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son; Alex (Gail),daughters; Dianne (Clint) and Lorraine (John), 8 grandchildren; Shane, Ben, Alison, Joy, Evan, Sherri, David, Bonnie, and 21 great-grandchildren.

Marion was pre deceased by her husband Louie Thompson, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

A celebration of Marion’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm at St. Andrew’s United Church, Rossland, BC. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
