O'Genski: Marjorie Velma (June 12, 1932 - December 24, 2010) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 24, 2010. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Kimberley and spent most of her youth in the Cranbrook area.
Marj met John O'Genski in 1951 and they married in 1952 relocating to Trail where they raised two sons Gord and Rick. She had a zest for life and enjoyed many activities in and out of the home. Marj and John spent many years travelling with family and friends. She loved the cruises they took and always looked forward to their twice yearly trips to Reno, NV.
Marj is survived by her dear loving husband John; two sons, Gord (Debbie) and Rick (Fae); grandchildren Samantha (Trevor) Fennell, Tracee (Bryan) Zelke and Nataly O'Genski; her pride and joy, great-grandchildren Paige and Grayden Fennell. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Lois Carver, Bob Wills, Shirley (Ken) Craig, Gwen Wills, Ray (Alene) Wills, Pat (Dee) Horie, Malcolm (Alice) Horie and Cathie Horie.
Marj is predeceased by her parents Tom Wills and Celia Horie, in-laws John and Ruth O'Genski, brother Ron Wills, sister in law Doris O'Genski, brother-in-law Ken Carver and nephews Brent O'Genski and Jeff Craig.
A private family service will be held on Friday December, 31, 2010. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services "Carberry's Chapel" is entrusted with arrangements.
