Merv passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren on October 27.
Merv was born June 28, 1938 in Trail BC. He grew up playing hockey and developing friendships that would last a lifetime. He met the love of his life Doreen Jacobs during junior high and married her on September 5, 1959.
Merv graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Engineering and went on to a successful career in the Aerospace industry. While airplanes remained a passion throughout his lifetime, his true joy came from family, friends and spending time at the lake.
He leaves behind his daughters Wendy and Barbara (Kevin) and three grandchildren, Kendall, Ryan and Erin.
A private service will be held in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Overlake Medical Center Foundation in Bellevue, Washington or the Kootenay Boundary Hospital Foundation in Trail, British Columbia.
