GRESLEY-JONES, Molly Yvonne – A long time resident of Rossland passed away peacefully with family at her side at Columbia View Lodge on October 2nd, 2010.

Molly was born on April 3th, 1923 at Glan Llyn in Meliden, North Wales, and immigrated to Canada at the age of 4 with her parents and younger brother Tom and sister Doreen. Molly began work in the telephone office in Rossland right after high-school, and worked in both the offices in Rossland and Trail until she retired in the late 60s to care for her mother.

Molly worked for her brother-in-law’s roofing business for over a decade until she retired. For the past three years Molly enjoyed her life at Columbia View Lodge.

Family was very important to Molly and she loved to take her nieces and nephews to Nancy Greene Lake to swim. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, natural history, sewing, knitting, horseback riding, walking her dogs and caring for her cats. Molly was also an avid reader and doll collector.

Molly is predeceased by her brother Tom Gresley-Jones, nephew Peter Burger, and sisters Marie Doratti and Doreen Burger.

She will be dearly missed by her brother Ken (Jean) Gresley-Jones, and nieces and nephews Dan and Brian Gresley-Jones, Tom Doratti, Pat McLellan, Peg Dubois, Ken, Chris, and Shawn Gresley-Jones, Oly Doratti, Ted Burger, Susan Buckley, Dorothy Matter, and all their families. There will be a private family service with a celebration of life to follow.

Donations in Molly’s memory may be made to Columbia View Lodge and the Trail SPCA. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Eileen Purssell and the staff of Columbia View Lodge for their wonderful care and compassion given to Molly during her stay.
