With sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of Nadine, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, at the age of 91, in Delta Hospital on April 14, 2014. Nadine grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, where she completed her Education degree with majors in Math and Music. She taught at a small country school until she married Bill in 1944. She and Bill moved to Trail where she stayed home to raise two children before resuming her career in teaching. She taught English for new Canadians at night school, did private tutoring, and also did substitute teaching in the area. Nadine's two great loves were her family and teaching. When life became difficult dealing with Bill's Alzheimers, Nadine moved to Tsawwassen to be closer to family. She always missed living in Trail but was happy to finally be able to participate in all the family gatherings. Nadine was predeceased by her loving husband Bill in 2007. She is survived by her daughter Carol (Clive) and her son Bill (Audrey), as well as three grandchildren: Lori (Travis), Kevin (Melanie), and Brian (Shannon) and five great-grandchildren (Noah, Ella, Jamie, Magnolia, and Kaleia). She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26, at Holy Nativity Orthodox Church in Langley, B.C.
