It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Rene Enser on July 29, 2010. Over the last several months Rene fought a courageous battle during his illness. Well known for his infectious smile and friendly demeanor he was well known in the Trail community for over 45 years. Rene came to Trail in 1965 for new opportunities while seeking a better future for his family. He worked for Cominco as a highly skilled machinist/millwright until he retired in 1985. Rene leaves behind four children, a sister Annie Montroos in New York City and other family members in the Netherlands. Rene has now joined his wife Sonja in a “better place”.

On behalf of Rene Enser, he thanks all of his family, friends, and the medical community for being there for him in a time of need. God bless all of you.

Cremation has already taken place and there will be no service as per Rene’s request. No flowers please. Donations to the Columbia View Lodge, where he received compassionate and excellent care, would be greatly appreciated.
