Robert Watmough passed away June 26, 2018 at Nelson Jubilee Manor. He was born April 24, 1931 in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Geraldine (Gerry), Sister-in-law, Laurie Redman, one nephew and several nieces. Very close family friend Linnea (Bryon) Richardson and family as well as relatives in B.C., Alberta and Ontario.
He was predeceased by his father Thomas, mother Agnes, sister Evelyn, brother Donald and nephew Brian.
Robert was born in Lethbridge and moved with his family to Trail, B. C. in 1935. He moved to Vancouver in 1957 where he worked as a Teamster for over 40 years and in 1996 when he and Gerry retired, they moved to Proctor, BC. Robert was an avid fisherman, hunter, loved riding his quad and held a private pilot licence.
At Robert's request, there will not be a service. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Nelson Jubilee Manor, 500 Beasley Street, Nelson, B.C. V1L 6G9 or a charity of your choice. Alexandra 'Ali' Butts of Thompson Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
