Crandell: Ronald James passed on November 27, 2010 at the age of 54. He is survived by his wife Kathy, children Chelsey, Joel and Jayden, his mother Shirley, sister Marlene, brother Brian (Madelene, Nicole & Stephanie), his mother-in-law Tessie Haubrich, and his large Haubrich in-law family. Ron was predeceased by newborn son Lucas, father Ted, father-in-law Lawrence and brothers-in-law Craig and Ray.

Born, raised and married in Medicine Hat, AB and after living six years in Regina, SK, Ron spent the last 19 years making Rossland home, relocating to Trail in July 2010. He was a pipefitter by trade and was employed with City of Trail Utilities for the last 14 years. Ron loved his kids….what was best for them was always his top priority. He was an active volunteer with community sports, involved with RTMH and especially Trail Little League for which he spent endless hours as executive member, coach and fund raiser.


A “Come and Go” Celebration of Ron’s life with his family and friends will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Trail Branch #11, 2141 Columbia Avenue in Trail on Friday, December 3, 2010, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
