Sebastian “Buzz” Nutini

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sebastian “Buzz” Nutini on Thursday, September 21, 2017.
He leaves behind his wife, Selma, his children David (Marjorie), Liann, Laura and Julie; Donna (Ralph), Marnie, Allison, Ben and Geoff; Linda (Donny), Stephen (Kristi); Ronald (Patricia), Andre, Rita and Max; Karen (Shane), Kaley (Tyler), Jessica and Erika; Lori (Matthew), Melissa, Nathan and Jacob; Alan (Marianne), Chelsea and Katie.
He is also survived by his brother Don (Lorna) and family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Giulio and Iolanda Nutini and his granddaughter, Carla Nutini.
Buzz was born and raised in Trail. He and his wife Selma celebrated 65 years of marriage this past summer.
He lives on in his seven children and twenty grandchildren, all of whom frequently would turn to him for advice.
He said, “I’m grateful for the life I’ve had. I have a beautiful wife and seven children who have good hearts.”
He lived his life to the fullest – whether by celebrating his 80th birthday with an early morning water ski on Christina Lake, schooling his grandkids on dance moves at birthdays, anniversaries and weddings, enjoying the sunshine on various tropical vacations, or jet setting all over the country to various family events. Family was everything to him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2012 – 3rd Avenue, Trail, BC at 10:30 AM with Father dela Cruz, Celebrant.
Reception to follow immediately at the Riverbelle, 1350 Esplanade Avenue, Trail, BC. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Servicestm has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of your choice or to the Saint Michael’s Catholic Public School Foundation c/o 8166 DeVito Drive, Trail, BC, V1R 4W1.
This organization provides a scholarship to a JL Crowe graduate who is a former Saint Michael’s School student.
Buzz was very involved in creating this foundation, and it was dear to his heart.
Buzz will be deeply missed by family, countless friends and colleagues, and the entire community he loved so much.
