After a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer the final buzzer has sounded. The game is over. Our beloved husband, dad, father-in-law, brother-in-law, papa, great-grandpapa, and uncle, Seth, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, September 6th.

Seth is survived by his wife of 61 years Bev (Beula), his daughters Lynne (Moe), Patti and Susan, his very own hockey team - First Line All Stars: Jeremy (Aimee), K.C. (Michelle), Mike (Bobbi), Layne, Jayme, Lucas and Ty - Second Line All Stars: Miranda, Mikal, Tarryn, Mataya, Ayla, Leighton, and the newest additions - twins, Westin & Hayden. He will be sadly missed by his cheering section of sisters Minnie Turyk & Marg Rosse and sister-in-law Irene Martin as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Seth was predeceased by his parents Seath & May, brothers Bill & Art and sisters May & Nan.

Seth was born in Rossland B.C on May 4, 1933. He embarked on a stellar career as a goaltender, backstopping his way through Europe, Canada and the USA. Hockey was his passion. Seth had a 36 year career as a firefighter with Tadanac and Cominco Fire Department. Seth had a great love for music. He would go to his piano or guitar playing, by ear, and singing many John Denver tunes with family and friends.

His family meant everything to him. Bev was his world and his best friend. “His girls” were the loves of his life. He was so proud of each of them and their accomplishments. His love was unconditional and forever.

Seth was a humble, sincere, genuine guy whose kindness and generosity made him truly a great man.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Seth’s name can be made to the Father Bauer Scholarship Award Society c/o Tom Lewis, 1400-1125 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2K8 or to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Health Foundation (Oncology Unit), 1200 Hospital Bench, Trail BC, V1R 4M1 or online at www.kbrhhealthfoundation.ca
