Peacefully with family at his side, it is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Sid after a two week stay in the Trail Hospital.

Eldest son of Albert and Alice Wilson, Sid was born in Trail. He grew up in Montrose with his five siblings, and enjoyed riding motor bikes, camping, fishing, berry picking, and exploring the Kootenays with his family. He fished on Kootenay Lake, and hunted in the Flathead with his Dad and Uncle John.

Sid assisted his Dad in building the family home on 3rd Street in Montrose, and with the help of his Dad and younger brother Gary, he built another house in Fruitvale.

He was an electrician by trade, and worked at Cominco as a young man. Most recently he worked in Kitimat, and at Teck.

Sid enjoyed his time "shootin the breeze" with his friends at the Arlington.

Sid was predeceased by his father Albert Saulter Wilson (2010).

He is survived by his sons Albert Sean Tyson (Kristine), Ian James Tyson (Larissa), his grandchildren Adeline and Luke, his mother Alice, his sister Sandra (Gord) Braithwaite, brother Randy (Ann) Wilson, sister Wendy (Don) Steep, sister Janice Underwood, and his brother Gary Wilson.

He is also survived by three nieces and a nephew; their spouses and children.

A celebration of Sid's life will be announced at a later date.
