1957 ~ 2017

Sylvia “Gwen” Irma Paul, born August 24, 1957 in Davenport, Washington, passed away on April 1, 2017 in Trail, BC. She had just completed a two kilometer walk and was resting on her porch chair when she passed away.

Sylvia was predeceased by her parents, Joyce Elaine and Edward James Paul, her siblings; Walter, Gary, Betty, Leona and Wayne. She is survived by her sister Leewanda and her brothers; Daniel, John, Jim and Greg. Sylvia was also predeceased by her chosen family; Henriette and Alphonse Campeau and sister Therese Hutchison. She is survived by Claude (Pauline) Campeau, Lucien (Betty) Campeau, Paul (Shirley) Campeau, Mariette (Einer) Knudsgaard, Leo Campeau and several nieces and nephews.

Sylvia grew up and attended school in Fruitvale and Trail. She was known and loved by her family and the whole community. She was a talented artist and in her later years, she enjoyed her photography. Sylvia loved spending time with her family at reunions and special dinners when family came to town, especially at the Colander. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Salvation Army Church at 2030 Second Ave, Trail, BC. Interment at the Fruitvale Memorial Cemetery will take place at a later date. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
