MORO, Teresa of Trail, peacefully passed away on July 26, 2017 at Poplar Ridge Pavilion.

Teresa was born in Trail on May 25, 1921. She attended Trail Central School, High School and Trail Business College. After College, she worked as an office employee for the Annable Warfield Waterworks for one year then was employed at the Village of Warfield for 29 years, retiring in 1982.

She was a dedicated volunteer and executive member in various organizations both in Trail and Christina Lake. Teresa was a life-time member of the Sisters of Colombo for 80 years, having held positions as Secretary and President. She was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 65 years and while residing at Christina Lake she volunteered at the Grand Forks Food Bank and acted as Treasurer for many years. Teresa was also an Honourary Member of the Christina Lake Hospital Auxiliary.

Teresa was predeceased by her two husbands; Cesare Altan in 1968 and Domenic Moro in 2001 as well as her sister Hilda Toffolo, her brother Isidore Muzzin and his wife Eileen, and her son-in-law Glyn Harper. She is survived by her daughters; Lillian Harper and Doreen (Geoff) Searle and her granddaughters; Carolyn Harper and Jennifer Searle, her brother-in-law Ivo Toffolo, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, New York and Italy.

The family would like to thank Drs. Jenkins and McCord, the caring staff at the Trail Regional Hospital and Poplar Ridge, Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™, Father Francis dela Cruz, Sister Norma, the Sisters of Colombo and the Catholic Women’s League (CWL).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:30 am, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Teresa’s name may be made to the Trail Regional Hospital Foundation or Poplar Ridge or a charity of your choice.

As Teresa loved the summer sunshine, colourful summer attire is appropriate.
