It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terry Bush on March 4th, 2017 at the age of 66. Terry will be lovingly remembered by his best friend and wife of 41 years, Julie; his children Allan (Devon), David (Ashley), Katie and granddaughter Stella. Terry was born April 25th, 1950 in Trail, BC to Albert and Hannah Bush. He was the 4th of 6 children. He also leaves behind his brothers Bob Bush (Diana), Rick Bush (Helen), sister Catherine Astofooroff, sisters-in-law Louanne Bush and Jeanie Moynes (Andy), mother and father-in-law Dorothy and Jim Moynes as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Gary Bush and Dan Bush.

Terry was a committed teacher and loved building. He taught shop, math and career counselling at Mount Boucherie Secondary School in West Kelowna for 32 years before his retirement in 2008. He had a passion for life and loved to help people. He was always involved with all of his children’s activities: coaching their soccer teams, going skiing (water and snow), RV-ing and just having fun. After retiring Terry began building their home at his beloved Christina Lake. In 2014 when Julie retired, they moved there permanently. It was always a work in progress with no lack of projects. Terry loved to travel with his truck and trailer. He and Julie travelled extensively in the last 3 years. First they travelled to the tip of Florida, up to the Maritimes and back across Canada. Next they headed north to Alaska, Yukon and Haida Gwaii. Their last adventure was a month in Costa Rica this fall. He will be so missed.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, April 1st, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Christina Lake Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Alzheimer’s Society of BC.
