Derr: Walter Alexander passed away suddenly at home in Trail, BC on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. He was born in Calgary, AB on August 17, 1953.

Walter lived most of his live in Alberta, and moved to Trail in 2006. He was a member of the IBEW for more than 30 years. Walter was a meticulous and careful electrician, taking pride in his work. He was always a kind and generous spirit, a loving father, and a good friend to many. Walter was loved by all who knew him and his laughter, and his long awaited breakfasts will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughters Raven and Zephyr, sister Pauline (Ted) Cline, brothers John (Debbie) and Allan (Angie); as well as a large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Evelyn (nee Craig) Derr.

A memorial service will be held at Carberry’s Chapel on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., with Ken Siemens officiating. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
