Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to visit communities, coffee shops and campgrounds in the West Kootenay area.
I would like to express gratitude to those who took time to meet with us and share their hopes and concerns for both their country and their communities.
A tour of the Teck smelter in Trail, along with discussions with several business owners was very informative.
While we were struck by the beauty of the West Kootenay landscape, our visits to Kate’s Kitchen, the Smoke Eaters Charity Softball game and the Hills Garlic Festival showed us the heart.
