Kiwanis Beaver Creek Park hosted its first soccer match since dedicated efforts of supporters, led by John Foglia, began almost eight years ago to reshape the rough field into a useable pitch. Foglia refereed the first game alongside Ron Joseph as Rossland footballers faced Creston in a mini three-team tournament on a sunny Saturday. Foglia hopes more groups use the now immaculate field, not only for soccer, but also concerts, group picnics, and other events.
