The Red Mountain Racers travelled to Edmonton for the Sunridge Ski Cross Challenge 2019 last weekend.

The race is the first stop on the Western Ski Cross Series and includes a pair of FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski) Ski Cross races.

Rossland’s Sage Stefani raced to gold and silver medals in the U18 Girls Western Series Races and shared the River Cup (and a bag of BC apples) with Red Deer friend, Rory Stadler, whom she tied for most points. Sage’s sister September won the River Cup in 2017.

Teammate Marcus Hamm took home a bronze and fourth place finish in the U14 races. On the FIS side, Sage finished eighth and ninth, while teammate, Hannah Schultz placed seventh and 12th.
