The Kelowna Rockets Pee Wee girls team won the BC Hockey League’s female provincial championship in a dramatic 3-2 overtime win over the Surrey Falcons on Sunday night at the Trail Memorial Centre. After Surrey tied the game in the final 32 seconds of regulation to force OT, the Rockets Karrington Mollin scored the game winner with just over a minute to play in the 10-minute OT period. The North Shore Avalanche earned the bronze. The tournament was hosted by the West Kootenay Wildcats, who managed a win over the Prince George Cougars on Sunday. Congratulations to the Rockets and all the teams who participated. Jim Bailey photos.
