Calgary native Travis Bower is the newest addition to the Trail Daily Times news team.
With a diploma in journalism/photojournalism from Western Academy of Photography, Bower has come to Trail for his first reporter position.
After visiting Trail in the past to ride the mountains and the roads in the area, he’s looking forward to becoming part of the community and covering what’s happening in the region.
After only being in town for three days Bower already feels the welcoming mountain atmosphere and is looking forward to the coming season.
The 22-year-old enjoys hearing peoples stories and is excited to hear the tales from this community. From old hockey battle legends to new issues affecting the community.
Bower is interested in listening to all the people that make Trail the place it is.
When he’s not out shooting or writing up stories, Bower plans to ride his bike until the snow comes then swap the bike for a pair of skis.
In his spare time he also plans on photographing and writing on the ski and board season.
Bower can be reached at 250-364-1242 ext: 212 or by email at email@example.com
