All Wired up
Terry Lindsay was dealing with lots of wires and lots of colours Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Cedar Ave. and Victoria St. He, along with Todd Abbey of Westcana Electric, are in the process of adding back-up batteries to all the intersection traffic lights in the event of a power outage. Each panel consists of four batteries able to provide over four hours of power to allow the lights to continue to operate in the event of an outage. Westcana Electric, a Nelson-based company, handles the electrical work for the Ministry of Transportation in the Kootenay region.
