Backing up the Big Bike

The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Big Bike rolled through Trail this week.

Frank Flake, a driver hauling the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Big Bike, unloads the 20-person bicycle from the trailer on Tuesday morning along the Esplanade in downtown Trail in preparation for fundraising rides. Seven area teams took turns riding the bike in a fun event to support their fundraising efforts for the foundation. Flake hauls around one of nine such bicycles across Canada. Although from Ontario, Flake is one of two drivers in B.C. that will see him haul the bike all the way to Fort St. John for events.
