There is another reason to celebrate this New Year’s Eve.
Free rides on local transit will be offered on the day in question after 6:30 p.m. as Kootenay Boundary-B.C. Transit and the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary have partnered up to encourage people to make a smart choice if they are out celebrating.
Overnight on New Year’s Eve free trips will run from 6:30 p.m. until 3 a.m.
However, BC Transit customers should be aware of some holiday schedule changes, including a Dec. 31 regular weekday service and ski bus service.
